Who This Is Built For

AI Finance Tracker is built for people managing money in Pakistan on an income that does not leave much margin for error. In practice that has meant four groups, and the features that exist tend to trace back to one of them.

Salaried employees in their first or second job

People who have just started earning and find that the gap between salary and expenses is not what they expected. Monthly budgets, spending categories and a three-month forecast answer the questions they cannot yet answer from experience.

Freelancers and people with irregular income

When income arrives in lumps, a monthly budget is the wrong shape. The tools handle variable months — tracking what came in against what went out, without pretending every month looks the same.

Households managing a family budget

Utilities, school fees, family support and household spending in one place, rather than tracked in a notebook that gets abandoned. Several people can contribute to the same household record.

Students and first-time savers

A small amount saved consistently beats an ambitious target abandoned in month two. Savings challenges, streak tracking and low-barrier goals are designed around keeping the habit, not maximising the amount.

What these groups share is that the tools built for the US and Europe mostly assume a bank feed, card-based spending and a currency that behaves differently from the rupee. Cash is still the majority of everyday spending in Pakistan, committees are a genuine savings mechanism, and zakat is an annual obligation that has to be planned for. Those are not edge cases, and treating them as edge cases was the reason this project exists.

Who Is Behind AI Finance Tracker

Muhammad Hamid, founder of AI Finance Tracker

Muhammad Hamid

Founder & Developer — Faisalabad, Pakistan

Muhammad Hamid holds a Bachelor's degree (BS) from Riphah International University, Faisalabad, and works as a web developer building modern web applications with JavaScript, React and Python. He designed, built and maintains every part of AI Finance Tracker — the interface, the API and the machine-learning models behind the spending predictions.

He is a software developer, not a licensed financial advisor or tax consultant. The guides on this site explain how money management works in a Pakistani context and are educational, not personalised financial advice — please read our Disclaimer.

AI Finance Tracker is an independent project. It is not backed by a bank, a lender, or any financial institution. There is no sales team and no one is paid commission to recommend a product to you.

The project started from a simple observation: most personal finance apps assume card-based spending, automatic bank feeds, and a way of life that does not match how money actually moves in a Pakistani household. Cash is still everywhere. Committees (BC) are a real savings system. Zakat is an annual obligation that needs planning. Family support is a fixed monthly expense, not discretionary giving. None of that fits neatly into software designed for another market.

If you find something wrong, confusing, or missing, writing in genuinely helps — most of what has been added since launch came from user messages. You can reach us at jutthamid148@gmail.com.

How We Make Money

Running the servers, the database and the AI processing costs money every month, so it is fair that you know where the funding comes from. There are exactly two sources:

  • •Advertising — The free plan shows third-party ads served by Google. These use cookies, which is explained in our Privacy Policy along with how to opt out.
  • •Pro subscriptions — An optional paid plan removes limits and unlocks the full AI feature set. Nobody is required to upgrade to use the core tools.

What we do not do: we never sell your personal information, and the financial records you enter — your income, expenses, budgets and savings goals — are never shared with advertisers or used to target ads at you.

What Happens to Your Data

This is a personal finance app, so the first question anyone sensible asks is who can see their numbers. The short answer is that the financial records you enter are visible to you and to the people running the service, and to nobody else.

  • •Your income, expenses, budgets and goals are never sold — They are not shared with advertisers, and they are not used to target advertising at you. Advertising on the free plan is served by Google based on your browsing across the wider web, not on the contents of your records.
  • •Authentication and storage are encrypted — Passwords are hashed rather than stored in a readable form, data travels over encrypted connections, and storage runs on encrypted infrastructure with role-based access limited to the operator.
  • •Account deletion is permanent and complete — Deleting your account removes your records from the active database within 30 days, and from backups within a further 60. There is no archive you could ask us to restore from afterwards.
  • •We can access an account but never ask to — As the operator, the ability to reach data for security and support reasons exists — no system can avoid that and remain operable. What we do not do is ask for your password, or ask you to hand over access for routine support. Nobody here will ever email you requesting your login.
  • •AI processing works on the data you chose to submit — Scanning a receipt or an SMS means that image or text is processed to extract figures for you. It is used to populate your own records, and is not used to build anything shared with anyone else.

The full detail, including our service providers and your rights over the data, is in the Privacy Policy.
