The content on AI Finance Tracker — including guides, blog posts, calculators, and tools — is written to help people in Pakistan make better informed financial decisions. This page explains how we operate so you know what to expect from us.

Independence

We are not a bank, lender, broker, or investment adviser. Nothing on this site is personalised financial advice. Every article is general educational content. You should consider your own circumstances and, where appropriate, speak with a qualified professional before acting.

How we write

  • One author, no AI ghostwriting. Every guide is written by Muhammad Hamid, the founder of AI Finance Tracker, or a small team of named contributors. AI assistance is never used to generate the final content or figures without explicit human review and sign-off.
  • Pakistan focus. We prioritise content that is actually relevant to people living and working in Pakistan: PKR amounts, local tax rules, Pakistani banking products, and shariah-compliant options where interest-free finance is required.
  • Practical over theoretical. We test procedures ourselves wherever possible — opening bank accounts, filing tax returns, comparing fund fact sheets — so the steps we describe actually work in the Pakistani context.

Fact-checking & sources

We cite data to its primary source wherever possible: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), SECP, mutual fund fact sheets, and official government documents. Numbers that change frequently — tax slabs, profit rates, nisab thresholds — carry a "Last updated" date at the bottom of each page and are reviewed at least every quarter.

Currency conversions, when shown, use the State Bank of Pakistan's reference rate for the stated date. Past performance is shown for context only and is not a guarantee of future results.

Who writes the content

Every guide and article on this site is written and reviewed by Muhammad Hamid, the founder of AI Finance Tracker, who holds a BS from Riphah International University, Faisalabad, and works as a web developer. The founder is not a licensed financial adviser, accountant, or tax consultant, and this is stated plainly because it changes how the content should be read: it explains how a system works, not what your individual position is.

Articles carry the author's name and the date they were first published. Where a piece has been substantially revised, the revision date is shown as well, so you can tell the difference between something written recently and something that has been sitting unchanged for a year.

What we will not do

  • Publish advice dressed as information. We explain what a tax slab or a zakat nisab threshold is. We do not tell you which one applies to you, because that depends on facts we do not have.
  • Accept payment for a favourable conclusion. Sponsored posts are labelled as sponsored at the top of the article. A sponsor may correct factual errors and supply images; they may not dictate what the article concludes.
  • Recommend payday loans, high-interest lending apps, unregistered investment schemes, or “guaranteed” returns. These are refused as advertising and are not covered as editorial content.
  • Publish a prediction as a fact. Where we show a forecast, a projected figure, or an estimate, it is labelled as one and the assumptions behind it are stated.
  • Use reader data. Nothing you record in the app is used to shape what gets written or recommended, and it is never shared with advertisers. See our Privacy Policy.

Corrections

If you spot an error, outdated figure, or broken link, please get in touch. We publish corrections at the top of the affected page with a visible changelog note, and we credit the reader who reported it (with your permission).

Advertising & monetization

We run display advertising through Google AdSense. AdSense ads are clearly labelled and are placed away from editorial content so they do not influence what we write.

Some articles contain affiliate links to third-party products and services (e.g., JazzCash, Amazon). If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are always clearly disclosed at the point of use. Our recommendations reflect what we genuinely believe is useful — affiliate relationships do not determine which products we recommend.

Conflicts of interest

The founder holds personal investments in shariah-compliant mutual funds and gold. These holdings are not disclosed in individual articles because they are too small to move markets and because the same funds are recommended to every reader regardless of the author's personal choices. We commit to never writing about a specific stock, fund, or product in which we have an ownership stake beyond index-tracking exposure.

Community & comments

We do not run open comment sections. Comments on social media posts are moderated for spam and abusive language before they are shown. Our contact email is published above so readers can ask questions or suggest topics directly.

How often we review

Content carrying figures that change over time is checked at least quarterly, and immediately when the underlying source publishes a change. That covers salary tax slabs and exemptions, zakat nisab thresholds, profit rates on savings accounts and Islamic deposits, and gold and silver prices. Where a figure cannot be kept current on this schedule, it is removed rather than left in place to go stale.

The same applies to the calculators in the app. If one disagrees with a figure published by FBR, the SBP, or a bank's own official notice, please tell us — that is treated as a bug, and the correction goes in before the article is reviewed again.
